A ceremony to provide cash aids to flood-hit farmers in Gyobingauk Township, Bago Region was held at the Township General Administration Department yesterday.
At the ceremony, MP U Aung Ko Min of regional Hluttaw presented opening remarks and an official from the Township Department of Agriculture clarified the purpose of cash aids. Next the officials provided cash aids to farmers who face loss of monsoon paddy fields due to flood via respective disaster support teams.
At a rate of K 10,000 per acre, a total of 428 farmers who own 1,500 acres of farmland in the villages in the township were provided cash aids.
