An event to present social pension and supplementary cash assistance to senior citizens was held at the meeting room of the General Administration Department in ChaungU, Sagaing Region on 17 June.
    

The event took place in accordance with the guidance issued by the Ministry of Health and Sports and speeches were delivered by Sagaing Region MP U Kyaw Hsan and Chairman of the township management committee U Aung Baw. Next, the lawmaker, township administrator and Township Medical Superintendent Dr Kyaw Tun Oo presented cash to the ward and village administrators.
    

A total of Ks. 42.3 million was provided to 705 elderly people above 85 years old in the township during the event.
