A ceremony to provide cash assistance to offspring of staff of General Administration Department was held at the office of GAD in Khaikam, Tedim Township, Falam District in Chin State this morning.

At the event, Administrator U Hla Myo, explained the purpose of the donation of cash assistance for students and called on the students to try hard in their lessons.

Afterwards, the Township Administrator and staff presented K 20000 each to high school level students, K 15000 each to middle school students, K 10000 each to primary level students.

Officials from Khaikam GAD also presented one dozen of notebook each to the students.

There are seven offspring who are studying at the schools from Khaikam GAD, it is learnt.
