The workshop on the rule for outward remittances bussinesses was held at the Central Bank of Myanmar (CBM) in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.

At the event, CBM Deputy Governor U Bo Bo Nge delivered an opening speech.

This was followed by Foreign Exchange Management Department and Monetary Policy Affairs and Financial Institutions Regulation Department of the Central Bank of Myanmar, and Bureau of Special Investigation and financial investigation team explained the rule relating to permission of foreign exchange dealer, international norms relating to Anti-money Laundering/Counter Financing of Terrorism-AML/CFT, the rules relating to AML/CFT to be followed by exchange dealers and scrutinizing the clients.

The queries raised by attendees were answered by related departments.

Present at the meeting were Deputy Governor of Central Bank of Myanmar U Bo Bo Nge, Director-General and staff from Bureau of Special Investigation of Ministry of Home Affairs, directors-general and staff from the Central Bank of Myanmar, head and staff of financial investigation team, those who interested in foreign exchange dealer and observers. — MNA (Translated by Kyaw Zin Tun)
