The central committee and work committees on holding Hluttaw meetings held a coordination meeting in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday in preparation for legislation works in the regular sessions of the Hluttaws which would be resumed on 15 July.
 

The 3/2019 meeting between the committees was opened with remarks by Speaker of Pyidaungsu Hluttaw and Pyithu Hluttaw U T Khun Myat and Speaker of Amyotha Hluttaw Mahn Win Khaing Than.
 

At the meeting, U T Khun Myat, Speaker of Pyidaungsu Hluttaw and Phithu Hluttaw Speaker, said that 13th regular Hluttaw sessions will commence on 15th July 2019.
 

These sessions will focus on enactment of the National Planning Bill for Fiscal Year 2019-2020, the Union Budget Bill and the Union Tax Bill, according to the meeting.

Amendment of the 2008 Constitution would be discussed, bills being discussed at Hluttaws and other matters of the Hluttaw will be conducted on a priority basis in the upcoming regular sessions of the parliament.
 

The Speaker also urged the central committee and the work committees to coordinate on necessary matters.
Then, Amyotha Hluttaw Speaker Mahn Win Khine Than said that as Hluttaw meetings had been held successfully up to 12th session, they have a lot of experience. He urged Hluttaw members to use this experience to fill up gaps and hold the 13th Hluttaw regular sessions successfully. Afterwards, a general round of discussion of union ministers, chairman of Nay Pyi Taw Council, deputy ministers, and permanent secretaries followed.

 

Then, the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw Speaker commented on the explanations and discussions.
The meeting came to a close with the concluding remarks by the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw Speaker.
