The Chief Minister of Chin State Salai Lian Luai inspected site chosen for construction of a small airport in Hsaingan Village, Tiddim Township in Chin State on 14 July.
The chief minister and his entourage were briefed about progress of construction of the project by the director of the Directorate of Civil Aviation U Kyaw Soe. The small airport’s runway will be 3000 ft. in length and 100 ft. in width and it can handle take-off and landing of the small aircrafts. They also looked into construction of a staff apartment and a new school facility and presented cash assistance to the patients.
The chief minister was accompanied by Chin State Minister for Agriculture, Livestock, Forestry and Mines U Mang Hen Dai, Chin State Minister for Road and Transportation U Shwe Htee Yoe, Chin State Minister for Social Affairs U Pau Lun Min Thang and Chin State Minister for Municipal Affairs, Electricity and Industry U Soe Htet.—IPRD
