A monsoon tree planting ceremony to mark the World Environment Day 2020 was held in the compound of the Ministry of Ethnic Affairs in Haka, Chin State this morning.

Chin State Minister for Social Affairs U Pau Lun Min Thang, and staff from related departments joined the event. The participants planted saplings including teak and hardwood to make the environment clean, green and peaceful during the activity. 

The Forest Department in cooperation with concerned departments and local people is distributing seven kinds of saplings free of charge and is planned to organize monsoon tree growing ceremonies.
