A press conference on the 2019 South and Southeast Asia Com-modity  Expo  and  Investment  Fair  (SSACEIF)  was  held  at  Haigeng  Convention  Center  in  Kunming,  China,  at  9  am  local  standard time.

Firstly, Mr. Zhang Guohua, chairman of the Executive Com-mittee of the SSACEIF and Dep-uty  Governor  of  Yunnan  Prov-ince,  explained  how  the  expo  will  support  the  Belt  &  Road  Initiative.

Next,  officials  replied  to  journalists  from  within  the  re-gion and from south and south-east Asian countries.

The exposition will be held today in Kunming and will focus on  displays  of  artificial  intelli-gence,  virtual  reality  and  aug-mented  reality.  The  expo  will  have six major exhibition areas and  feature  displays  from  over  74 countries and organizations. The  organizers  said  a  total  of  3,348 enterprises from China and abroad will be attending and they estimate to sign contracts worth US$ 86.7 billion in total.

Later  in  the  evening,  journalists gathered news at the 2ndChina-South  Asia  Cooperation  Forum  held  at  Hilton  Hotel  in Yuxi.
