An event to provide medical items to the COVID-19 committee in Muse District, Northern Shan State was held at the Nantaw checkpoint on the borderline of Myanmar and China yesterday.
As part of efforts to contain the spread of COVID-19 pandemic, Red Cross Society from the town of Ruili in west of Yunnan province, People's Republic of China donated medical equipment worth Yuan 400000 to the committee for COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment in Muse District, northern Shan State, Myanmar.
The donations were accepted by the district deputy Administrator U Okkar. This was followed by the presentation of certificate of honor to Chinese Red Cross Society by COVID-19 committee in Muse District.
The committee for COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment from Ruili also reportedly donated a total of 200 plastic chairs with arms and 20 umbrellas to the committee for COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment in the muse District.
