Chinshwehaw’s COVID-19 Containment Working Committee handed over a total of 36 Myanmar nationals who returned from China to Lashio yesterday.

The returnees included 23 males and 13 females. Of them, 1 from Mogok, 12 from Singu, 1 from Taungtha and 2 from Madaya in Mandalay Region, 3 from Shwebo and 1 Yinmabin in Sagaing Region, 6 from Aunglan in Magway Region, 1 from Tatkon in Nay Pyi Taw, 9 from the townships in northern Shan State.

They were quarantined in Chinshwehaw while their swabs were being sent to the Public Health Laboratory in Mandalay. After they were tested negative for COVID-19, they were transported to Lashio.

The Chinshwehaw’s COVID Committee handed over a total of 15,604 returnees, 8,633 males and 6,971 females, to the townships concerned since 30 April.
