Collective blood donation event held at Nay Pyi Taw 1000-bed hospital

The collective blood donation event to mark the 79th anniversary of Armed Forces Day (Tatmadaw Day), which falls on March 27, was held at the Nay Pyi Taw 1000-bed hospital in Zabu Thiri Township and No.2 Defence Service General Hospital (1000 beds) in Zeyathiri Township of Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory on March 20. During the event, 121 members of the Myanmar Police Force and clerical staff of Ministry of Home Affairs donated their blood.

 

State Administration Council Member Union Minister for Home Affairs Lt-Gen Yar Pyae, Union Minister Dr Thet Khaing Win of Ministry of Health, Deputy Minister for Ministry of Home Affairs Maj-Gen Toe Yi, Deputy Minister for Health Dr Aye Tun, permanent secretary of Ministry of Home Affairs U Khaing Tun Oo, Directors General from Ministry of Home Affairs and Ministry of Health, senior officers from Ministry of Home Affairs, Head of Nay Pyi Taw 1000-bed hospital Professor Dr. Ye Myint and members and officials from No. 2 Defence Service General Hospital (1000 beds) attended the event and gave words of encouragement to blood donors and provided nutritious food and medicines.

 

Afterwards, State Administration Council Member Union Minister for Home Affairs Lt-Gen Yar Pyae provided 148 oxygen cylinder accessories, 155 flow meters, nasal plane and face masks worth K 50.03 million to Nay Pyi Taw 1000-bed hospital. Then, Union Minister Dr Thet Khaing Win presented certificate of honor to Union Minister for Home Affairs Lt-Gen Yar Pyae and spoke words of thanks.—MNA
