With the aim of keeping the environment green, maintaining soil and temperature, a collective tree planting activity was conducted near Hlekyi Village in Pwintbyu Township, Magway Region yesterday.
A total of 90 people including Chairman of the District Administration Council U Aung Myat Khaing and members, members of the Township Administration Council, departmental officials, members of social organizations and the Township Women’s Affairs Federation participated in the activity and grew about 150 perennial and shady saplings at the designated places.
With the aim of keeping the environment green, maintaining soil and temperature, perennial and shady saplings will be distributed free of charge to local people, said staff officer of the Township Forest Department U Aung Maw.—Hlaing Win Lay(Pwintbyu Mye)
