Yangon, 9 June

In an attempt to reduce occurrence of natural disasters and make the environment clean, green and peaceful, a collective tree planting ceremony was held at No.14 basic education primary school in Ward-9, Yankin Township in Yangon Region this morning.
    

At the start of the ceremony, Township Administrator U Min Maung Maung presented saplings to regional lawmakers, ward administrators and concerned officials. Next, the legislators, township administrators, departmental staff, ward administrators, town elders and volunteers from non-governmental organizations took part in the collective tree growing ceremony.—Lin Lin Tun
