An event to present compensation for confiscated farmlands was held at the town hall in Hlaingthayar Township, Yangon Region on August 20.
    

On the occasion, Yangon Region MP for Constituency @ U Myat Min Thu expressed words of thanks, saying equitable compensation for the confiscated farmland owners. Next, the regional lawmaker, the township administrators and concerned officials presented K 9,535 million to 79 people for 953.50 acres of their confiscated farmlands.
    

One behalf of the farmers, a land owner spoke words of thanks before the ceremony concluded successfully.
