A ceremony to provide compensation for 757 acres of monsoon paddy fields damaged by floods was held at Zeegon Township General Administration Department, Tharrawady District, Bago Region this morning.

First, Bago Regional Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Aung Zaw Naing gave remarks and Director of Bago Region Department of Disaster Management U Thein Htay Aung and Director of Regional Department of Agriculture U Naing Oo clarified the purpose of the provision.

Afterwards, the officials provided compensation to the farmers and one of the farmers also spoke words to gratitude to the officials.

At the ceremony, National Disaster Management Committee provided K 7.57 million of compensation to a total of 381 farmers for their 757 acres of paddy fields damaged by floods occurred in 2019.
