Concrete paving work on the road in Chaungkauk Village, Sinbaungwe Township, Magway Region, began in the first week of December 2024 and has now been fully completed, according to an official from the Township Department of Rural Development.

The concrete road, which measures 650 feet in length, 12 feet in width, and six inches in depth, was constructed at a cost of K. 19.3 million. This includes K. 15.0 million from the DRD’s funds for the 2024-2025 fiscal year and K. 4.3 million contributed by local residents.

The road will benefit 2,306 local people from 565 households in the village.— Nyein Thu
