A concrete road was inaugurated to mark 76th Anniversary of Independence Day to the public in Kwethit Ward in the town of Myothit, Magway Region this morning.
During the ceremony, executive officer of the Township Development Committee delivered a speech on the development works undertaken by the Township Development Committee. Next, the in-charged engineer of the Township Development Committee discussed matters relating to the construction works of the concrete road and a community leader gave words of encouragement to the responsible persons.
Afterwards, Chairman of the Township Administration Body, secretary of the Township Administration Council, executive officer of the Township Development Committee, members of the Township Administration Council and member-2 of the Township Administration Council cut a ceremonial ribbon to formally open the road and looked round the road.
With the aim of improving socio-economic of rural people, the concrete paving work of road measuring 1100 ft. long, 12 ft. wide and eight inches thick was constructed with K 31.90 million allocated by the regional government for 2023-2024 fiscal year, according to the Township Development Committee.—Than Win Tun(IPRD)
