Construction work of a concrete road in Namhmawkyan Village in Lashio Township, Shan State (North) began from the first week of August this year and now, it was completed 100 percent.
A concrete road measuring 500 ft. in length, 12 ft. in width and six inches in thickness was constructed by spending over Ks. 10.8 million including Ks. 10 million of DRD’s allotted funds in 2022-20203 fiscal year and Ks. 8.2 million donated by local people, according to an official from DRD.
During the inspection tour, staff officer of the state Department of Rural Development U Saw Myint Tun and members looked into the progress of the construction work of the road and stressed the importance of quality construction and maintenance.—Daw Nilar Aung(DRD)
