The construction of a ladder to link Bayintnaung’s statue and cape in Kawthoung was completed by 80 percent.

Being a border town, Kawthoung is blessed with places for travels to visit. Of them, Bayintnaung’s statue and cape of Bayintnaung are famous places for relaxation. This has resulted in the construction of a ladder to link the statue and cape.

The ladder and people’s square were constructed in October 2018 with an allotment of K 54.4 million under the guidance of Taninthayi Region Government. The Township Development Committee focuses on preservation of environmental safety and it will be completed by 80 percent in the beginning of March this year.
