Improvements for rural tarred roads being undertaken by the Department of Rural Development in Magway Region have been 85 percent finished so far.

The rural developmental tasks are being carried out the DRD with the allotted funds in the fiscal year 2019-2020, said Daw Myat Noe Oo, Staff Officer from the Department of Road. Of which, the Myaynilein-Swalpaukkan Road is being upgrade to a tarred facility by a private construction company with Ks. 190 million of the Union Budget.

Officials from the DRD head office and members of the township level rural development committee made an inspection tour to the construction site of the rural road, called for timely completion in accordance with the set standard.
