With the aim of ensuring swift flow of commodity and saving time and money, construction of gravel road measuring 7 miles long on Nammatun-Ywarhelu Road which is 36 miles and two furlong in length in Kawthoung Township of Tanintharyi Region has been implemented by the Progress of Border Areas and National Races Department under Ministry of Border Affairs and now, all the projects have been completed by 100 percent.

 

Construction of the gravel road measuring 7 miles in length and six reinforced concrete bridges on the road have been constructed since August 2022 by a tender winning company with Ks. 360 million allocated by regional government in 2022-2023 FY.

 

The road will benefit 2092 people from 544 households in six villages in the Township and bring socio-economic development to local people.—Nywe Zin Yaw(Dawei)
