Officials inspected the completion of construction works of rural road in Kaungkhant Village in Kutkai Township, Shan State (North) this morning.

During the inspection tour, staff led by staff officer of the Township Department of Rural Development U Kyaw Zin Lat met with in charge person of respective Construction Company and stressed the importance of quality construction and maintenance.

A rural road measuring one mile long, 12 ft. wide and nine inches thick is being constructed by private tender winning company with Ks. 36.05 million allotted by regional government and now, all the projects have been completed 80 percent.

Once completed, it will benefit over 600 acres of farmland of 420 local people from 85 household and helping them transport rural products to the markets in a timely manner, according to an official from the Township Department of Rural Development .—Soe Moe Kyaw
