Construction of rural roads in four villages in Meiktila Township, Mandalay Region has been completed, according to Township Department of Rural Development. 

 

With the aims of narrowing gaps between rural and urban areas and upgrading the socioeconomic development of rural people, the Department of Rural Development is undertaking developmental works with K 10 million each funded by VDP. 

 

The developmental works are being implemented according to the basic needs of the villages. Now, the works are being undertaken in Kwatnge, Thayetkan, Nyaungbintha and Latpanaint (west) villages with the funds of VDP and public contributions starting from December. 

 

In Meiktila Township, the developmental projects have been implemented in 64 villages starting from 2017-2018 FY to 2020-2021 FY.
