With the aim to provide electricity to villages in Wundwin Township, Meiktila District, Mandalay Region, Shwetaung sub-power station is being built in the township. Now, it has been completed by nearly 100 percent, according to Meiktila District Electrical Manager’s office. 

Under the program of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), the project was conducted by Unique Comm Group Co., Ltd with the supervision of Mandalay Electricity Supply Corporation starting from 24 January. 

Upon completion, 12 villages having access electricity will be provided 24-hour electricity and arrangements are being made to distribute electricity to remaining 33 villages without electricity in the township, according to U Yu Maw, District Electrical Manager.
