With the aim of ensuring swift flow of commodity and boosting socio-economic status of local people, the construction work of box culvert on Padauk Road in Ward-2 in Paikyone sub-Towship, Hpa-an District, Kayin State was completed by 100 percent.

The box culvert measuring 20 ft. in width and three ft. in length was constructed with Ks. 3.46 million allotted by Kayin State government in 2022-2023 FY. The construction work of box culvert began on 6 July and fully completed on 17 July this year. 

The box culvert will benefit education, health, social and economic of local people.—Naw Khu(IPRD)
