Responsible persons from the District Department of Rural Development inspected the construction works of gravel road in Taungbo Ywarthit Village in Saling Township of Magway Region this morning.

The gravel road measuring 800 ft. long, 12 ft. wide and nine inches high have been constructed since August 19 this year by a tender winning Company with Ks. 6.8 million of DRD’s allocated funds in this fiscal year and all the projects have been completed by 90 percent so far.

During the inspection tour, personnel led by staff officer of the Township DRD U Maung Maung Thwin met with community leaders and gave necessary instructions. Once completed, it will benefit 332 acers of farmland of 410 local people from 72 households, helping them transport rural products to the markets in a timely manner.—Ahtway(DRD)
