Responsible officials from the District Department of Rural Development inspected the construction work of a rural road in Lwekant Village in Nyaungshwe Township of southern Shan State this morning.
During the inspection tour, staff officer of the District Department of Rural Development U Aung Zaw Lin and staff officer of the Township Department of Rural Development U Ko Ko Naing and staff met with members of village development committee and stressed to meet the construction deadlines.
The section-3 of the road measuring four furlongs long, 12 ft. wide has been constructed since the second week of July this year by a tender winning company with Ks. 27.32 million allocated by the Union Government for 2023-2024 fiscal year and so far, all the project have been completed 50 percent.
Once completed, it will bring benefits for local people, helping them transport rural products to the markets in a timely manner.—Maung Khaing(DRD)
