With the aim of ensuring swift flow of commodity and boosting the socio-economic status of rural people, the construction works of rural road is being implemented by Department of Rural Development in Khota Village in Momeik Township, Shan State (North).
Staff led by staff officer U Myo Zaw Tun from the Township Department of Rural Development looked into the progress of the construction works of rural road this morning. On the occasion, officials met with staff from respective Construction Company and instructed to meet the construction deadlines.
A rural road measuring one mile long, 12 ft. wide and six inches thick is being constructed private tender winning company starting from the third week of December last year with Ks. 36.06 million allotted by regional government and now, all the projects have been completed 60 percent.
Once completed, it will benefit over 1069 acres of farmland of 1034 local people from 225 household and helping them transport rural products to the markets in a timely manner.—Soe Moe Kyaw
