The coordinating meeting for organizing Walking Thingyan in Nay Pyi Taw for the 2023 Myanmar Traditional Thing­yan Festival took place at the meeting hall of the Ministry of Information yesterday.

 

The meeting was attended by Union Information Minister U Maung Maung Ohn, Nay Pyi Taw Development Committee Chairman Mayor U Tin Oo Lwin, Deputy Ministers Maj- Gen Zin Min Htet, U Ye Tint and Daw Nu Mra Zan, Nay Pyi Taw Council member Colonel Min Naung, Nay Pyi Taw Devel­opment Committee Vice-Chair Vice Mayor U Maung Maung, permanent secretaries, Deputy Director Brig-Gen Ye Yint Aung from the Directorate of the Pub­lic Relations and Psychological Warfare, directors-general, of­ficials from Brilliant Aura Co Ltd and invitees.

 

Union Information Minis­ter U Maung Maung Ohn said that the Walking Thingyan will be included in 2023 and hoped that activity to bring unity and happiness to staff and their family members, and the people of Nay Pyi Taw. He expressed the anticipation that the min­istries will also participate in the celebration so that their employees can enjoy it happily.

 

Then, Nay Pyi Taw Devel­opment Committee Chairman Mayor U Tin Oo Lwin clarified that the committee will coop­erate to successfully celebrate the Walking Thingyan which will be held in Nay Pyi Taw this year.

 

Next, the project director of Brilliant Aura Co Ltd gave a detailed presentation on the arrangements for the Walking Thingyan to be held in Nay Pyi Taw, followed by the discus­sions of deputy ministers, NPT council member, the vice may­or, departmental officials and attendees regarding the meas­ures for access to water, enter­tainment, health and regulato­ry matters.
