Htantapin, February 14
In a bid to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in Htantapin township, Yangon north district, the township health staff raised prevention awareness about COVID-19 yesterday, forming three response teams led by Dr La Min, head of the township public health department.
There are seven health centers in Htantapin township. Medics and health staff from these health centers had already given talks about COVID-19 in seven schools. Leaflets on COVID-19 are being handed out to people at crowded places such as markets. There are six factories owned by Chinese businessmen in the township. So, we are keeping a careful watch on the factories whether there is comings and goings of visitors and staff between the factories and China, said Daw Nwe New, township health officer grade-1.
