Amid the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic, schools across the nation were temporarily suspended. Now, the government and respective ministry are trying to reopen the schools across the nation in July. Therefore, COVID-19 preventative measures such as disinfection work and placing hand wash basins are being undertaken in the schools to be reopened with the target date. 


In Thanlyin Township, Yangon Southern District, disinfection work and garbage collection were undertaken at No. 3 Basic Education High School yesterday. 


Chairman and members of Township Development Committee, Head and teachers of the school, members of philanthropic organizations took part in the event. 


With the aim of reopening the Basic Education High Schools on 21 July, COVID-19 preventative measures are being undertaken in line with the instructions of the Ministry of Health and Sports, according to Thanlyin Township Education Officer’s Office.
