AN awareness talk on the Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR) system was held at the Township Internal Revenue Department office in Dawbon Township yesterday morning.

 

At the event, Head of township IRD U Kyaw Myo Htwe explained the benefits of the CEIR system, its func­tions, and operational proce­dures, as well as the meaning of IMEI numbers.

 

He also clarified how to check whether taxes have been paid, the types of taxes collected, the classification of imported mobile phone values by category, and the proce­dures and methods for pay­ing taxes through the CEIR system.

 

During the discussion session, mobile phone shop owners raised questions, which were addressed by the township officer with further explanations. — Chit Su Wai (IPRD)/KZL
