Deputy Minister for Information U Aung Hla Tun inspected the IPRD Offices in townships and Yangon Region, and studios from the Film Development Centre situated in Golden Valley, Bahan Township, Yangon, yesterday morning.

The Deputy Minister inspected training halls, libraries, mini museums, reading rooms and children’s libraries from the Yangon Region’s office, offices in West Yangon District, including Kyauktada, Seikkan, Ahlone, Hline townships, and offices in East Yangon District, including Yankin and South Okkalapa townships. With a view of promoting sports initiatives on employee wellness, the Deputy Minister observed the availability for building and plot of land, and possible ways of cooperation between Ministry of Information and Ministry of Health and Sports.

He discussed arrangements for the readers to read comfortably in the libraries, preparations for readers to get easy access to newspapers, journals, magazines, books, tabloids, strengthening security of the offices, preventing natural disasters and fire hazard, conducting courses, holding talk shows and discussions in cooperation with other ministries and CSOs at the IPRD offices, and supporting for providing sports equipment for the local populace.

In the afternoon, the Deputy Minister inspected the studios of the Film Development Centre.—MNA
