Deputy Minister for Transport and Communications U Thar Oo took part in the opening ceremonies of the 5th ASEAN Ministerial Conference on Cybersecurity (AMCC) and the Singapore International Cyber Week (SICW) 2020 via videoconferencing.

The opening ceremony of SICW was held on 6 October, and that of AMCC was on 7 October. During the online events with ministers and officials from ASEAN countries, the Deputy Minister discussed regional cybersecurity cooperation and setting the rule-based regional norms.

Singapore is hosting the SICW event from 5 to 9 October, with the participation of ASEAN ministers concerned with the cybersecurity, its deputy ministers, the Secretary-General of ASEAN and representatives from the dialogue-partnered countries. The exhibition of GovWare Exhibition was also held and the ICT Solution can be viewed through virtual platform. Singapore has already hosted the four previous events of AMCC and SICW.—MNA
