Digging an earthen lake in Oakpho village in Thazi Township, Meiktila District, Mandalay Region has been completed by hundred percent, according to the District Department of Rural Development.

Meiktila, Mahlaing, Thazi and Wundwin Township Departments of Rural Development under the Meiktila District Department of Rural Development are implementing water supply projects including digging nine tube wells and five earthen lakes and one related work with the tender winning companies.

Of which, Kabaw Shwemyay Company is conducting an earthen lake measuring 240 ft in length, 200 ft in width and four feet in depth and other related works with K 29.18 million of Union Budget during 2023-2024 FY. Now, all have been completed by hundred percent.

Now, a total of 393 people from 71 households in the village are available enough drinking water in all seasons.
