Officials from the Department of Disaster Management under the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement presented relief items to disaster victims from Minbya Township, Rakhine State yesterday afternoon.

The ceremony to donate cash and kind to the disaster victims who became relocated after their houses were eroded by floodwaters was held at the township administrator’s office in Minbya, Rakhine State. The officials from the Department of Disaster Management furnished the disaster victims with Ks. 763,000 for purchasing construction materials and rice and 15 types of relief supplies to.

The provisions were handed over to the disaster victims by the officials and gave words of encouragement.—IPRD
