Two domestic companies donated cash and medical equipment to be used in the COVID-19 control and prevention tasks to the local government in Bago Region.

The event was held at the chief minister’s office in Bago City this morning. Two representatives Panko Myanmar Co Ltd and Lawkanat Co explained the purpose of donations. Next, they contributed Ks. 5 million to be spent on purchasing medical equipment for handling of the coronavirus pandemic response, 10,000 packets of instant noodles, and 10,000 facial masks through Chief Minister U Win Thein, Regional Minister for Planning and Finance U Nyunt Shwe and Secretary of the local government U Khin Maung Hsan who returned the certificates of honour to the benefactors.

Present on the occasion were the chief minister, regional minister, concerned officials and reps from the donor companies.—Tin Soe (Bago)
