Donations made towards flood-affected civilians

Various donors have been contributing to the relief and aid of people affected by the recent floods throughout Myanmar.

Yesterday, representatives and officials from Myanmar Gems and Jewellery Entrepreneurs Association (MGJEA), SNK (Asia Pacific) PTE, Ltd. Myanmar Branch) and the Myanmar-born Chinese Humanitarian Support Philanthropic Group handed over donations of K50 million, K7.6 million and K4 million respectively to the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement. Union Minister Dr Win Myat Aye then gave honorary certificates to the donors in return. 

Similarly, the Yangon Region Disaster Management office has received food and aid worth K2.1 million from Shwe Thazin Family and Myanmar Kindness Foundation, K1 million worth of clothes from Myanmar Finance Center, 100 blankets valued at K600,000 and K300,000 in cash from the music group The Five, K500,000 from Dr Tin Mi Mi (Obstetrician and family) in remembrance of Dr Kaung Myat (Orthopaedical Surgeon), K5 million from Strategy First University’s faculty, students and staff, K2 million from Asia Hlaing Kyaw Family, K100,000 from U San Thar Han and Daw Aye Aye Myint’s family, K70,000 from U Kyaw Lin Zaw and Daw Aye Myat San’s family, and K10,000 from U Soe Moe Kyaw’s family.
