The Department of Rehabilitation under the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement opened drug rehabilitation course for drug addicts at its rehab camp in Myitkyina, Kachin State this morning.

Speaking on the occasion, Kachin State Minister for Social Affairs U Nay Win said drug problem must be addressed by cooperating with each other, urging those present to give a helping hand to drug addicts in order to welcome them in human society. The minister then presented completion certificates to social organizations and donors that contributed food and household items to the course.

The course runs from 28 July to 25 October and is being attended by 20 trainees. The course mainly focuses on motorcycle repair course and straw mushroom cultivation course.—IPRD
