Chief Minister of Magway Region Dr. Aung Moe Nyo attended a ceremony to open a deep tube-well in Htan Chauk Pin Village, Chauk Township on 4 January.
    

On the occasion, the regional chief minister and Regional Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Win Maw Htay delivered addresses. Next, an official from the Department of Rural Development elaborated on undertaking the tube-well and related facilities. Afterwards, the regional chief minister, Speaker of the regional parliament U Tar, the regional minister, the Upper House MP U Khin Win and the regional lawmaker Daw San San Win cut a ceremonial ribbon to inaugurate the tube-well.
    

Also present at the ceremony were regional-level departmental officials, village administrators and local residents. The tube-well with a deep of 1350 ft. plus a water tank capable of storing 2,400 gallons of water and a water treatment facility was built by the DRD with almost Ks. 38 million allocated in the fiscal year 2018-2019.—Soe Moe Kyaw
