The Department of Rural Development under the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation is carrying out construction of rural roads, bridges and water supply tasks in seven villages in Minbu Township, Magway Region.
    

The department chose the private companies through tender bidding system to build two rural roads, one box culvert, one concrete bridge, and two drainage channels in seven villages in the township with Ks. 105.092 million of funds allotted in the fiscal year 2019-2020. Similarly, five tube wells, one water tank, four brick tanks and one water treatment facility are being built with Ks. 77.5075 million under the close supervision of the DRD.
    

DRD officials also made field trips to the sites for timely completion of the projects. The intention of rural developmental activities is to help farmers sell their products in the market on time, and distribute sufficient water to rural people.—Thurein (Minbu)
