Minbu, 22 March
Water supply tasks are being carried out by the Department of Rural Development in four villages in Minbu Township, Magway Region to ensure availability of drinking water in summer.
The DRD awarded tender to a private construction company to dig up tube-wells, build water storage facilities and construct water treatment plants in Saishin, Kanni, Paikthin and Zeebyugon Villages. The rural development tasks being undertaken with Ks. 77.50 million have been 80 percent finished so far.
Once completed, around 4,300 local people from four villages will be able to use drinking water sufficiently, according to an official from the DRD.—Thurein
