The opening ceremony of a basic training course on carpentry took place at the meeting room of the Department of Rural Development in Budalin Township, Sagaing Region this morning.

At first, Joint Secretary of the township management committee Deputy Township Administrator U Kyaw Min Than gave an opening speech. The twon course instructors share techniques on making furniture such as table and chair and constructing small structures by using 10 teaching aid materials, said an official from the Department of Rural Development.

A total of 20 trainees in the township are being given practical and theoretical training during the 20-day course.—Han Tun
