A ceremony to wrap up a sewing course, organized by the township Department of Rural Development under Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation, was held at the Thawthikho Hall in Khemaphyu Village in Hpasawng Township, Kayah State yesterday.

At the event, staff officer of the district DRD U Aung Lwin delivered an opening speech. Then, deputy chairman of the Karenni National Solidarity Organization provided K 700000 to the trainees. Afterwards, a trainee spoke words of thanks.

Afterwards, U Aung Lwin presented a new sewing machine to an outstanding trainee during the training course. This was followed by the presentation of completion certificates to all trainees. The training course which ran from December 17 to 31 was attended by 20 trainees.   

With a view to creating job opportunities for rural people, the township Department of Rural Development organized a sewing course in Khemaphyu Village in Hpasawng Township.—Chit Oo Ko Ko
