DRD undertake rural water supply tasks in Minbu

Four rural water supply tasks are being implemented in Minbu Township, Magway Region by the Department of Rural Development and the projects have been about 95 percent finished.
    

The department dug up a tube-well, repaired an earthen lake, installed three water tanks and set up three water treatment plants in four separate villages by spending Ks. 83.4 million allotted in the fiscal year 2018-2019. All tasks are undertaken by inviting a tender to the private companies, said an official from the DRD.
    

“We prioritized availability of clean water for rural people. We have dug up tube-well and related works. Repair works for an earthen lake is being carried out and it is completed by around 95 percent. We emphasized on availability of sufficient water for rural people in the township,” he added.
    

Upon completion of the tasks, adequate water will be supplied to residents from four villages.—Soe Moe Kyaw
