The Department of Rural Development under the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation is carrying out developmental tasks in rural areas in Kanbalu Township, Sagaing Region.
    

Rural developmental tasks such as construction of roads and bridges, availability of drinking water and installation of electrification facilities are being implemented by the DRD under its Village Development Plan (VDP) for the fiscal year 2018-2019. Ks. 10 million each was allotted to 12 villages in the township where waste-management system is being introduced,” said U Han Tun Aung, Assistant Director of the DRD.
    

The DRD is building rural roads, installing a water pipeline and constructing rural electrification facilities in 12 villages throughout the township.—Aung Win Nyein (Kanbalu)
