Some villages in Laymyethna Township, Ayeyawady Region suffered from scarcity of drinking water due to extreme hot weather as the dry season set in.

 

As part of efforts to help the difficulties of rural people in the township, personnel from the township Red Cross Society and well-wishers from Yangon jointly donated 4800 liters of drinking water and masks to the affected people in Htaukkyankwin Village in Laymyethna Township yesterday.

 

Under this donation program, 244 families from Htaukkyankwin Village in Laymyethna Township received drinking water and masks.—Shwe Moe (Laymyethna)
