Some villages in Ngape Township, Magway Region suffered from scarcity of drinking water due to extreme hot weather.

As part of efforts to help the difficulties of rural people in the township, the Pyithu Hluttaw Representative U Soe Myint, MP U Khin Maung Lwin of No. 2 constituency of regional Hluttaw, the Township Administrator U San Tun, staff officer of the Township Department of Rural Development U Wai Lin Maung, an official from the township development affairs committee and staff from the township Fire Services Department went to the village and jointly donated drinking water to affected people in Yaepok Village, Ngape Township.

Under this donation program, 97 households from Yaepok Village in the township received 4000 gallons of drinking water.
