A social welfare group donated drinking water to villages which face scarcity of water in Myaungmya Township, Ayeyawady region yesterday.

Pathein-based Manawphyu social welfare group  donated 2800 gallons of drinking water to Maekyaw village and 5600 gallons of drinking water to Poelaungwa village with a water truck which has a capacity of 2800 gallons yesterday. In addition, the group distributed 5600 gallons of drinking water each to Gangawgone and Taugbawsu villages in the township.

The group will continue to donate drinking water to villages with scarcity of water on request, according to U Kyi Win, secretary of the group.—Aung Min( Myaungmya)
