Four projects to supply water to four villages in Minbu Township, Magway Region have been completed by 65 percent.
Digging wells in four villages, repair of earth lake, construction of three 2400-gallon overhead water tanks and construction of three water plants which are 10 feet long, 8 feet wide and 8 feet high are being undertaken, according to U Aung Phone Lin from Minbu Township Rural Development Department.
“The department mainly focuses on drinking water supply to rural people. Now, digging wells have been completed and other relating procedures are being undertaken. Officials are mainly focusing on security of drinking water for the villages in the township”, he added.
Upon completion, the projects will benefit 1686 people in total from 386 households in four villages.
